Advocacy and Legislation

Paralyzed Veterans of America – Nevada Chapter (NVPVA) listens to the concerns and challenges that our members face. We use the power of our membership and national affiliations to educate lawmakers and communities about the needs of those with disabilities. We work with local communities where our members live; we advocate for improvements so our members have equal access to everyday living.

Addressing the needs of our paralyzed veterans enhances accessibility for everyone. As we change stereotypes and break down barriers, the American Disability Act (ADA) standards become the norm. This ambitious goal is priority #1 as we shape accessibility for future generations.

Within our state, we partner with other ADA advocates ensuring that all outdoor activities are accessible for everyone.

Legislative Priorities

Paralyzed Veterans of America offers a comprehensive look at the priority issues that our organization will advocate for during the first session of the 118th Congress. These issues reflect areas of concern for our members, as both veterans with spinal cord injury or disease and people with disabilities. Additionally, we remain a steadfast advocate for all veterans and all people with disabilities.
