Research & Education
Paralyzed Veterans of America – Nevada Chapter (NVPVA) uses its Research and Education efforts to focus on supporting those with the expertise to make a difference in the lives of our members. From ground breaking research studies being undertaken at institutions across the country.
Through our efforts, we hope to share expertise in spinal cord injury or disease (SCI/D) treatment, encourage individuals to begin or maintain a career caring for those with SCI/D, and be a resource to professional and non-professional caregivers.
Every year, we send doctors, nurses, and clinicians from our local VA hospitals in Las Vegas and Reno to the annual PVA Summit, where new products and techniques are introduced to help make them better equipped to support our members. This ongoing education ensures that our healthcare providers stay at the forefront of advancements in SCI/D care, ultimately improving outcomes and quality of life for our veteran community.
